What we collect

This policy explains what jensilver.co collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site we collect what that form asks for. Depending on the form that is your email address, and may also be your name, your organization, your phone number, and whatever you write in the message or event details. The forms are the contact form, the speaking enquiry, the newsletter signup, the book launch list, the Property Savings Account paper request, and the Homeowner’s Toolkit download.

Information collected automatically. Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. Google Analytics records how the site is used, as described in our Cookie Policy.

We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment card details, Social Security numbers, policy numbers or claim documents. Please do not send them through a form on this site.

Why we use it

• To answer you, and to send you the thing you asked for.
• To send occasional updates about the book, new resources and speaking dates, if you asked for those. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.
• To keep the site working and to deal with spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf:

• Hostinger hosts the site and its database, where form submissions are stored, and sends the site’s email.
• Google Analytics 4 measures site usage. See the Cookie Policy.
• Google Search Console reports how the site appears in search results. It does not receive your form submissions.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are stored in the website’s database and emailed to Jen. We keep them while they are useful for the enquiry and for our own records, and we delete them on request. Analytics data is retained on Google’s schedule for the property.

Your choices

Write to info@jensilver.co and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in it. If you are in a place with specific data protection rights, such as the EU, the UK or California, tell us in your message and we will handle your request under those rules.

Children

This site is meant for adults who own or rent a home. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to the database and the mailbox is restricted. No website can promise perfect security, and email in particular is not a secure channel, so please do not send us anything sensitive through it.

Changes and contact
